Term Definition
Agent The chat panel that configures, runs, and edits builds for an asset. The Palatial Agent
Apply Edits Commit supported staged edits. Some edits rerun pipeline stages; chargeability depends on export and billing state. See Editing.
Articulated Behavior where parts are connected by real joints (revolute, prismatic, continuous, fixed).
Asset One object in Palatial: its inputs, builds, conversation, and exports. Has an ID and a URL.
Behavior Global setting: Single object, Parts, or Articulated. Controls segmentation and joints.
Build One run of the pipeline for an asset. An asset can have a current build and a draft.
Collision The simplified geometry a physics engine uses for contact. Convex hulls at a chosen level, or SDF.
Confirmation card The card the Agent shows before generation: understood object, reference, settings, token quote. Nothing runs until you confirm.
Draft A delivered build that hasn’t been accepted as the asset’s current build yet.
Identity The image that defines what the object is. Your original photo unless you pick a generated option.
MJCF MuJoCo’s XML model format. The lead package for MuJoCo exports.
Organization Your company or team. Owns billing, members, and the Organization Library.
Organization Library Assets published for reuse across an organization’s workspaces.
Parts Behavior where the object is split into rigid bodies fixed together. Also the segmentation output.
Physics type Rigid body or Soft body.
PhysReady Retired name for SimReady.
Pipeline The processing stages used by the selected workflow. How the pipeline works
Product Research The Agent’s evidence-gathering step for a named product: spec sheets, dimensions, photos.
Reference The image a mesh is reconstructed from.
Regenerate Rerun from shape generation or textures with new inputs or settings. Quoted.
Reprocess Rerun selected pipeline stages on an existing asset. Review the current quote; this is not always free.
Retry Rerun a failed stage with the same inputs.
SDF Signed distance field collision. Exact for concave shapes. Isaac Sim only.
Segmentation The stage that splits a mesh into parts and, for Articulated, infers joints.
Shape model The shape-generation option selected for a build.
SimReady Simulation-ready: clean geometry at real scale, materials, collisions, physics, and joints, validated in a simulator.
Single object Behavior where the whole mesh is one rigid body.
Token The unit of generation usage. Shared across the organization; workspaces use the organization balance.
USD Universal Scene Description. The lead package for Isaac Sim and Newton, and what the viewer loads.
Validation The stage that loads the asset into the simulator and checks it rests, moves, and doesn’t penetrate.
Variant A sibling asset from the same prompt or reference with a different result.
Viewer The 3D stage on the asset page. The viewer
Workspace A working area inside an organization. Holds projects, assets, members, API keys.
